Javier de Pablos-Vèlez is a cinematographer with over 15 years of experience across documentary, narrative, and branded work. Born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida, he trained at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, graduating with a concentration in cinematography.

 A 2025 ASC Vision Program mentee, Javier has long sought out opportunities to learn directly from the craft's finest — most notably assisting cinematographer Phedon Papamichael ASC, GSC on James Mangold's A Complete Unknown.

   His clients include Chewy, Riot Games, Vogue, Variety, Chase Bank, CNN, IBM, and the BBC; and his work has screened at the Tribeca and Locarno Film Festivals — including his short film Pearl and Henry, which premiered at Tribeca 2021.
